Here at The Kentridge Senior Living, we believe in the power of a chuckle. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s important to remember that laughter reduces stress, boosts morale, and enhances teamwork and creativity. Throughout the year as Business Office Director, a part of my role has always been promoting employee appreciation. From social recognition and milestone awards to our weekly creative follow-ups (CFUs), we always take a moment for our hard-working team members.
This past year, my favorite CFU actively celebrated a new tradition that added to our holiday cheer: the annual holiday tree lighting. During this event, many team members actively participated in various ways beyond their everyday duties.

Amidst all the fun, food, and magical moments, something special about this night actively stood out to me: our craft vendors. They were our staff! This active involvement allowed us to learn and see what some staff members do when they aren’t with us. It actively provided a great opportunity to witness their creativity and learn more about them. One team member even actively stated, “I didn’t realize all the opportunities that would be presented to me just by starting a new job.”
These CFUs will persist throughout the year. However, there’s a particular excitement surrounding Employee Appreciation Day on March 1st. We’re genuinely looking forward to it. We invite you to join us as we strive to foster a strong sense of camaraderie among our team. Laughter will be abundant as we come together to celebrate. And to add to the festivities, we’ve planned a special treat at the top of each hour. Your presence will undoubtedly enhance the joy of the occasion.
These are just a few examples of the many wonderful ways The Kentridge Senior shows appreciation to the team. We genuinely believe that when done right, employee recognition creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive. It promotes retention and makes us a great place to work, which, in turn, makes us a great place to live.
The KentRidge Senior Living serves and employs individuals of all faiths, regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age or handicap, except as limited by state and federal law.
