He published his theories on tree surgery in his book, The Tree Doctor, in 1901, and later established The Davey Tree Expert Company, which was incorporated in 1909. His efforts and influence led to the nickname, which is also reflected in the city’s seal. Fun Fact: The area code 330 was established on March 9, 1996, in an area code split of code 216. This was Ohio’s first new area code since the creation of the Northern American Numbering Plan in 1947.
