The Kentridge Senior Living Discovers the Heart of the Community During National Assisted Living Week

Category: Senior Living

Author: Lisa Arbogast, Resident Services Director

National Assisted Living Week is a special time when assisted living communities come alive with celebrations that bring residents together. It’s a chance to share stories, make memories, and enjoy events that show the strong bond among residents, caregivers, and families. This year, the theme is Season of Reflection. It is so important to celebrate the individuals we serve in our assisted living community with this special week of recognition. It also gives us a great opportunity to educate the public about how assisted living can help an individual live and thrive in an assisted living community.

At The Kentridge Senior Living, we are honoring residents’ lives and experiences by coming together during National Assisted Living Week to provide fun events each day for the residents that tie into the Season of Reflection theme. We will take a trip through the decades from the 40s all the way to the 80s. As the Resident Services Director, I am most excited about all the fun to be had during our special events!

Taking the time to celebrate National Assisted Living Week is important because I feel the Season of Reflection offers a wonderful chance to go down memory lane. It is a time to reminisce about all the life experiences that make each of us who we are.

It’s not only a time to celebrate, but also an opportunity to appreciate the staff and volunteers who make assisted living communities what they are today! This week highlights the power of connections, memories, and the spirit of togetherness that makes every resident feel at home.

Join us as we dive into the Season of Reflection with heartwarming stories, exciting events, and the wonderful sense of community that make National Assisted Living Week a truly special occasion. You can follow along throughout the week on our Facebook Page or stop in at The Kentridge Senior Living!
