Memory Care Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering in The Kentridge Senior Living Memory Care Neighborhood can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Our Neighborhood caters to individuals living with many different types of dementia. Volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. From providing companionship to participating in stimulating events, the opportunities for volunteers are both meaningful and endless. Let’s delve into the various types of events you, as a volunteer, can be a part of within our Memory Care Neighborhood.  

At Kentridge, there are numerous volunteer opportunities available! Volunteers can lead group exercise classes, join the garden club, attend Happy Hour with residents, lead bingo, host craft groups, or assist with spa days. Almost any interest can be turned into an engagement opportunity for our residents.

For many volunteers, the biggest benefit is seeing the joy they bring to the residents during their time here. Witnessing the positive impact they make feels rewarding. It’s also a chance to embrace your inner child and enjoy some silliness.

Residents thrive when participating in engagement events, and volunteers provide additional opportunities for engagement throughout their day. Each volunteer brings unique skills, whether they’re skilled gardeners, crafters, or anything in between.
